Reflections on independent consulting

The pharma and biotech industry has seen an interesting cycle over the past 18 months, marked by uncertainty from organizational changes, layoffs, restructuring, and a slowdown in hiring. This trend is prompting many experienced life sciences leaders to consider stepping into independent consulting, which I believe will be part of a broader future trend towards a more flexible and mobile labor market.

I had a great discussion with Marcus Metcalfe, who specializes in placing interim and freelance consultants in the biotech and pharma sectors, about this topic and my journey.

I’m optimistic about 2025 and the positive opportunities it will bring for our respective businesses and the life science companies we serve.

Happy Holidays from Pulse Edge

As the 2024 business year draws to a close, I am filled with gratitude as I reflect on Pulse Edge’s first year. Partnering with such an interesting array of clients on their business challenges has been a privilege and adventure.

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who placed their trust in me: clients and advisors alike. Your confidence and support have been invaluable along this journey.

As a Franco-American from Boston, I’m proud to have founded a company in France that embodies a blend of global perspectives. This year I’ll be spending this holiday at home in Paris, enjoying all this beautiful city has to offer.

Looking towards 2025, I am excited to explore further opportunities to empower healthcare innovators on their pathway to market access.

Wishing you a wonderful holiday season filled with joy, peace and inspiration.
